Random House's Dictionary.com is available as an iPhone app. Warning - it's a humongous app, as is certainly appropriate for an English dictionary. You can turn on a word of the say feature.

Personally, my antennae are constantly twitching. I hear words on TV & radio and rush to a dictionary. I rarely get through a decently written web article or a visit with a book without a trip to the dictionary. I even look up words I'm pretty sure I know.

"Hi. My name is John. I've been a workaholic for 54 years. I'm not seeking a cure. Just kindred souls."

My heart goes out to folks who aren't making regular trips to their dictionary, as well.
