Leaving users SOL for completing any known task.

To the OP, there is a stylistic move to do away with all hyphens,
unless it would impede comprehension. Our style guide listed some
exceptions butI can't remember them.

We are loosening our grip on mid-phrase punctuation, so no hyphens or
periods as a rule. But YMMV.
