Add to that the invasiveness of integrated searches; this is why I use Yahoo mail.

Subject: [Techshoret] New Google Gmail

I am looking for e-mail provider other than Outlook (for some reason it
doesn't send mail to non-"co'il" addresses) and other than Google's Gmail
(as stated below).

Today I tried Google's new Gmail look - I was "impressed" enough to take up
Google on their User Comment possibility and send them a comment.

For those of you who have not tried the new Gmail look, the "VERY BAD
advertiser policy" mentioned below is as follows. You can block up to 500
advertisers, but in practice blocking one advertiser just means another one
immediately takes its place. You have the choice to "Opt Out," which is
nothing but a lie: you still get the advertisement and also your blocked
list is deleted, so in reality you have not opted out from anything,

Here's what I sent Google.

"I am looking for a different e-mail provider. Why?
* The VERY BAD advertiser policy.
* The poor page functionality.
* The claim that IE Compatibility View has been enabled when it has not,
thus it cannot be turned off because it has not been turned on.
* As Gmail stands now, it is near impossible to navigate, and also has
greatly slowed down my entire Internet interface (not just Gmail) - this
last point I cannot be 100% sure of, but the rest of my comments are more
than enough to leave you."
