Are you using 64-bit Windows 7? This is a known problem. I haven't tried yet, but this is supposed to be a workaround solution. http://answers.acrobatusers.com/how-I-thumbnails-show-Acrobat-X-files-Windows-7-Computer-I-looked-everywhere-q7945.aspx
