Subject:RE: the xyz parameter or the parameter xyz? From:"Robert Heizman" <rheizman -at- vjt -dot- com> To:"Yves Barbion" <yves -dot- barbion -at- gmail -dot- com>, <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Thu, 29 Mar 2012 09:09:49 -0400
I prefer the "xyz parameter" because I think it flows better and is the
correct way to reference it.
The "parameter xyz" needs a comma in my opinion. To me it's more
correct, "The parameter, xyz, blah blah blah......." If you did it that
way, then I would be in the tomayto tomahto category.

Subject: the xyz parameter or the parameter xyz?
Which do you prefer (and why):
[a] The xyz parameter shows ... (xyz is a premodifier) [b] The parameter
xyz shows ... (xyz is a postmodifier)
