Re: 24/7 or 7/24?
I always thought 24/7 was shorthand for the phrase "24 hours a day,
seven days a week." I've never heard anyone say it the other way
Hang around my cynical self and you'll hear me say, "Seven hours a day, 24 days a week." Sometimes it's just humor; other times it's a jaundiced remark about something that purports to be what it ain't.
Left over from some cynical Friday, I guess:
--English professor: "Two negatives make a positive, but two positives never make a negative."
--Student: "Yeah. Sure."
