Kaye,

Tools > Options. Associations tab. Under HTML Editors, Design View should be the Default, and the path to Design View and HTML View should be <Internal>. Edit as required.

I have RH8 here, but I'd be surprised if it was different in v9.

Mike

Subject: RH9 problems with imported HTML files

I've finally got our IT people to install RoboHelp 9, and now I'm frantically prepping for class, playing with the new version of RH. I've encountered a problem that I haven't found mentioned anywhere. If someone here has encountered this, I appreciate any help you can offer.

I've imported .html files into a project, which seems to work pretty much like it always has. However, when I click on the imported topic to edit it in RH, Notepad opens instead, with the complete .html code and text from the original file. There seems to be no way to open the actual topic in RH.

The IconLogic book that I'm using for the class indicates that you can import .html files, but oddly enough, I don't find any information about them in the Adobe RH Help information.

When I generate the project as FlashHelp, WebHelp, or Microsoft HTML Help, the topic appears, content and everything.

As I said, I've checked Adobe's web site, and Help, and searched the Web and couldn't find any information.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Kaye Adkins
