I pretty much never use photos.

For screenshots, I use Alt-Print Scr and Paint, occasionally Photoshop
if I need to do anything more than crop. I'd use Snag-It if I had to
capture a menu or cursor but I never do at my current job.

Diagrams, Visio. I'd use Illustrator sometimes if I had it.

Flow charts, Visio, though I'm always looking for something more efficient.
