I had a moment where the half-formed thought in my head was "Cool! I wonder how well that would..."
And then I thought: Why would anybody want to use that when they could just get the laptop set up the way they liked, with any/every external display they could beg, borrow, or steal... and then use Remote Desktop to view and control any other PC, Linux box, Mac, whatever, under their purview?
If it wasn't for ONE product that I work with, that isn't played-well-with by VMs, I'd have my entire working life virtual, and reach it all from the laptop... mostly via VPN.

Hi from Germany,
for that purpose use the free Microsoft Tool "MouseWithoutBorders" at
[1] http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35460
For up to 4 PCs you need only one keybord and one mouse. I use it over
years with 3 PCs.
