Re: 2014 version of 1980s "quick reference card" ?

I created an illustrated quick start guide for a medical device (for which
I also wrote the user manual). Since the device is used in a biopsy exam
room where there is some blood about, I had the guide laminated and punched
for a large, circular ring so it could hang off of the device. Since we
dealt with such low volumes, I printed the guide in color on a duplex
printer and manually trimmed each page to correspond to the desired
dimensions of the overall piece. A local office supply company took care of
the laminating and punching (as well as providing the rings). The total
cost per guide was about $7.00 (excluding paper and ink cost as well as
printer maintenance).

My guide is very condensed with step-by-step, fully illustrated
instructions that follow a "storyline." That is, the first page (other than
the title page) speaks to the physician asst. responsible for setting up
the machine, whereas following pages address the urologist operating the
device and interacting with the patient.
