In the article "Will there be any technical writers in 10 years? " I was
struck most by the statment that in the UK, there are no undergraduate
degree programs in tech docs. That sounds odd to me, an American,
especially since for many years whenever I apply for a job, I compete
against people who say they have degrees in technical writing or technical
communications or information development or whatever. You can now get a
PHD in technical writing at some schools.
