As far as I can tell, the font properties of the text is not exposed to the
JavaScript interface. You can change the font of fields and annotations, but
not the PDF's text.

I want to be able to easily change the typeface/font of selected words in my
lengthy PDF. In other apps I can create custom macro buttons to accomplish
this.

How so in Acrobat XI Pro using JavaScript?
