These things can also be done in the evening.

That's just the difference between morning and night people. I prefer to get up and get out the door right away. If I linger around home, I start thinking about how much I want to just stay there. I prefer to get to work, get 'er done, and then be free for 'me' time.

Actually, I don't get up before the sun for work. I get up before the sun to spend the morning with my husband. We sit together, have coffee, read the paper (local and NYT), discuss the news, and just talk. It's the time of day that I really look forward to.

I also find it odd how many responders seem to be kind of boasting about having to get up before the sun, then devoting the majority of their waking hours to working and commuting.

Not a the kind of life I'd want.

Really, guys, isn't this a "Quien es mas macho?" kind of discussion? I get my work done in the time I'm at work and very occasionally take work home.
