I just joined this list and apologize if what I'm about to ask isn't a
proper topic for it. I'm considering entering the technical writing
profession, and was wondering if anyone here can suggest resources for
information on what writers do (specifically in information technology).
There's alot online about the career generally, but I wanted to know
what people do on a day to day basis and their attitudes towards the
field. I guess I'm basically looking to shoot the breeze with one
(preferably more) working tech writers about their work and how they
like it. Also, I have heard that more of these projects are being
outsourced. Are job seekers feeling this at present / seeing fewer job
