Dunno about Pure Text, but I'd petition for Stardock's Start8
<http://www.stardock.com/products/start8/> if I were you. (Disclaimer: I'm
an avid user with no financial interest in the company nor its products.)

Until you adopt the free Windows 10 later this year, you'll go stark-raving
*mad* without the regular Start menu.
