Hi Robert... you found that conversion? Where?

French spacing (or double spacing) is one of my few pet peeves. I annoys me
to no end. I know I should not let it bother me but it does.... Partly
because I am mildly obsessive compulsive (self-diagnosed LOL) and partly
because most people will never notice nor care. Nevertheless, when editing
documents from my engineering colleagues, I WILL waste time clearing out
those French spaces!

I was going to post this to begin a debate, however, this isn't up for
debate. The consensus is clear, this habit is an artifact from the
typewriter days that just needs to stop. Please!

Odd thing is, I am seeing the French spacing from authors far too young to
have ever even touched a typewriter. LOL.

Thanks for listening. I feel better now (after editing a 25 page technical
report with about 200 French spaces).

Shawn
