The idea is, apparently, to get you past HR's filter that looks at the requirements as a checklist of scoring system. The company is using software instead of human interaction to select appropriate candidates. The whole stinking mess speaks poorly of the recruiter and the hiring company.

You are up against, of course, people who have certificates that say they can do this stuff. Some of them might even have a certificate in Written English. Do you?

You might look at the advice offered by Nick Corcodilos (look him up), who routinely slams such tactics on his website.
