Hey Richard,

Avinash has about about Web Analytics an Hour a Day that contains some open
source tools. In addition, you could explore Piwik which you can host
internally for free as well as subscribe to a paid service.

Of course, tools being tools, the key is to understand what measurements
are important to you, and ultimately, is your content achieving its target
objective, that is guiding people to the right information.
