Greg, you're right. The main thing I was trying to achieve is to have a
library of irregularly shaped objects in various shades. Each is component
overlay. They need to be programmatically selected and merged into a
singular graphic with registration intact. Then the merged graphic gets
programmatically inserted into a gussied-up Word "container" file with
other parameters.

The choice of tools are my client'sânot mine.
