The Microsoft Manual of Style, 4th Edition, is a book written and
edited by Microsoft Press staff. It's well-organized, has some useful
illustrations, and was professionally laid out in InDesign, so the PDF
was first-rate.

The Microsoft Style Guide is a GitHub project started by three
Microsoft engineers and a marketing writer. The original content was a
subset of what was in the book with topics that were previously
grouped logically put into alphabetical order. iTextSharp is a free
tool they use to dump the web site to that crude PDF.

When they first started, the cross-references pointed to the web site
rather than to targets in the book.
