I primarily share Google Docs (in G Suite) and use the comment feature to
pose questions and solicit input. Reviewers can respond to comments, add
new comments, and edit docs directly using the suggest changes feature. We
can also hop on a call and review/edit the doc live/concurrently. The G
Suite version of Docs offers greater access control than the personal/free
version of Docs, but some companies may not want proprietary info on
Google's servers. If you have a lot of reviewers, note that reviewers who
don't log in with a Google account can still submit comments but their
comments are digitally signed as "anonymous." If you generate your source
content in a tool other than G Docs, you can still copy the source content
or output into a G doc for review, but you'll likely have to reapply some
formatting to present the content as intended.

In a previous life I routed Word docs for review w/ track changes, but I
find the basic features in G Docs sufficient and easier to use.

I'm curious to hear what others do.
