* Click Enter if enter is in the interface
* Press Enter if it is a keyboard button
* Tap Enter if writing for a mobile device (more likely I would just use Tap as that would take the place of Enter)

Which verb do you folks favor when instructing someone to "hit" enter?
Do you say "press", or something else?
