I admit I don't use all the latest features of Acrobat. Normally, we
generate pdfs from HTML or Word files. I provide drafts in pdf format and
receive feedback using the Comments feature.
Recently, a company I work with purchased an enterprise license for the
Acrobat Professional. My SMEs started providing extensive feedback for 100+
page manuals using the editing features of Acrobat, such as text editing,
objects (images), etc. However, not everything can be edited themselves
(covers, page numbering, TOC).
I also publish the content in HTML, as well as PDF. There are
export features, but the files are messy with generated mark-up.
Am I missing something that's changed in our industry? I thought Acrobat
was not intended to be a document creation tool nor used for extensive
editing.
