Importing FM or RH Project into Madcap Flare: Pros/Cons?
Subject:Importing FM or RH Project into Madcap Flare: Pros/Cons? From:"Hansen, Keith (US - Illinois)" <Keith -dot- Hansen -at- Fiserv -dot- com> To:"techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Wed, 3 Mar 2021 16:41:47 +0000
My question involves importing a FrameMaker or RoboHelp project into Flare.
In the past, I produced my documentation as follows:
* Content was generated in FrameMaker. A PDF was generated using FrameMaker.
* RoboHelp was linked to FrameMaker. Content from FrameMaker was automatically updated in RoboHelp. WebHelp was generated using RoboHelp.
The content in both FrameMaker and RoboHelp was identical.
I now want to import that content into Madcap Flare. Here is my question:
* Is it better to import the content from FrameMaker into Flare? Or from RoboHep into Flare?
In other words, what are the pros and cons of each option?
Thank you for any comments you can provide!
Keith
