"The Writing Coach with Paula LaRocque" is a 90-minute special airing tonight,
Wednesday, August 11, 1993, at 7 p.m. Dallas, Texas time, on Public Television,
Channel 13. The show will also be shown in Philadelphia, PA (and perhaps other
areas); check local listings for time and channel.
Paula LaRocque is the assistant managing editor and writing coach of The Dallas
Morning News. This seminar covers basic rules for anyone who writes letters,
memos, and reports, and the show reminds more experienced writers that clarity
is still the key to good communication.
Paula LaRocque is well know in the Dallas and North Texas area for her radio
writing show on KERA-FM (90.1). She is an excellent speaker, and has been the
featured speaker several times at STC Lone Star Chapter meetings. Her
collection of humorous newspaper headlines is extensive.
