If stress were not so real and yet so intangible we needn't spend the
billions of bucks every year for medications to calm us down. My cube
is covered with posters and scribblings about not stressing out and yet I
still worry about deadlines, engineer's interpretations of words that came
out of their own mouths, and irrational behavior by managers and
customers. Stress is very real in my life and in the life of most every
technical communicator that I know.

But John. . .just pick yourself up by your bootstraps and. . . .

Sorry, it's still real to me!
