How about dragging over the item?

<shudder> So dragging instead of clicking is an improvement??

I don't know the individual in question, LaVonna, but I've never had a problem
showing someone how to set their double-click speed on a Mac. They seem to get
it quickly, and the fact that the *computer* is willing (I know, I'm
anthropomorphizing again, but the average user does it all the time, and that's
the viewpoint I'm expressing here) to adjust to the way *they* work rather than
forcing them to adapt to it goes a long way towards lessening their "computer
fear."

Have fun,
Arlen
