I presently co-ordinate units titled "Information Production" and
"Information Presentation" in the School of Information Studies, University
of Technology, Sydney (AUSTRALIA). These units draw on the theory and
principles of information design and technical communication; a variety of
media and formats are considered (print/multimedia/hypermedia); skills
taught/learnt include DTP and "writing as problem solving"...

Next year we will introduce a Master of Arts in Information, with a 2-unit
specialisation in User Documentation. I would _very _much appreciate
relevant info on curriculum design, teaching strategies, useful software,
Internet resources, etc. In return, if anyone would like brochures on
our present and future courses, or the Australian Society for Technical
Communication, or?? please let me know. Cheers, Brenda Mattick
