How to punctuate the list is dictated by the list itself. Make your
list items all complete sentences with the appropriate periods at the
ends, or write the list itmes as fragments without final periods.
The punctuation rules are not compromised, and keeping it simple makes
it easy to remember. Your lists will be better, from a readability
standpoint, for using similar construction within any list.
