A few years ago, when I was still in Australia, I took a class at the
University of Queensland on ergonomics, and they told us that this kind
of chair is actually becomes quite bad for the spine after a while. I
checked this out with my doctor later and he agreed. While the chair
might be good for a change, I don't think it is good to use as your new
permanent chair. The problem seems to be that there is no support for the
back, the same reason given for its advantage..
