An intriguing take on the usefulness of certification is that
it's an effective way to keep have-nots/wannabes "out." An article
in Harper's a few months ago made this point wonderfully clear:
if health-care-delivery factories can outsource their programming
needs to the 2nd and 3rd worlds, why not outsource their medical
arts, too? Certification, that's why.

The issue is credentialism.
