For those concerned (sorry, i fogot who it was) with URLs and HTTP....

a URL is a Uniform Resource Locator. It is the pathname to a document
on the world wide web. URLs are standardized, so they are the same for
all Web browsers. for example, the URL to my home page is:
http://controls.ccd.harris.com/~kjarsuli

the "http://"; must preceede all URLs. HTTP (Hypertext Transfer
Protocol) is similar to FTP in that it is a protocol used by
HTTP servers to talk to each other to transfer hypertext and hypermedia
documents across a network. HTTP is used for all file types, not just
for HTML documents.

...hope that helps!
