I'm not sure who uses that alternative, but I think "alpha-numerical"
would probably be easier for most people to understand.

BTW, in my last post I mentioned the Benevolent Order of Lexicography.
I meant, of course, the LOYAL and Benevolent Order of Lexicography. They
don't have degrees (like the Masons); they have editions. ;-)
