For those of you who agree prefer to stick with the transitive use of
"displays," but don't like the slightly magical connotation of
"appears," how 'bout trying "opens"? It's a legitimate intransitive
verb.

- The Paragraph dialog opens...
- The application opens...
- When users read your eloquently written doc, watch in awe as their minds
open...
