Society for Technical Communication
Lone Star Chapter

Marketing Communications Professional Interest Committee
(MarCom PIC)

Meeting Invitation:
The program for Sept 28 is "A Printing Primer and More," presented
by Chris Hill of Pinnacle Graphics (Carollton, TX). The meeting will be
hosted by PIC manager Janice Gillmore at the Addison Harvey Hotel.
(14315 Midway Rd, north of Spring Valley.) The networking session begins at
6:00 pm. The program begins at 6:30. Admission is $3 for STC members and $6
for non-STC members.

We work too hard on technical documents and marketing materials to
have them go unnoticed. Chris and Pinnacle staff members will provide
information on using color cost effectively. Other topics include pre-press
operations and distribution concerns. Bring your Docutech, Postscript, and
other printing puzzlers for the Q&A session. Pinnacle will provide examples
of high-quality printing and door prizes. (Sorry, no printing services,
just
drink cozies, etc.)

MarCom needs your help. Our directive is to provide information and
resources to technical communicators concerned with the effective
presentation of features and operations highlights for technical products.
An attendee survey will be conducted to determine which related topics
concern you most. Volunteers are needed to keep this newly restarted PIC
going.

Asst. PIC Manager
