The Intermountain Chapter of the Society for Technical
Communication presents:

An Interorganizational Fair
in celebration of
Technical Communication Week
October 16-21

Come celebrate our second annual Technical
Communication Week in Utah with 7 local organizations who
sponsor technical communicators.

DATE: October 18, 1995
TIME: 7:00-9:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Salt Lake Community College Student Union
4600 South Redwood Rd.
Salt Lake City, Utah

Technical communicators represent many aspects of
business and technical communication--from computer
software to training and development--each genre having its
own professional organization.

IABC--International Association of Business Communicators
UITA--Utah Information Technologies Association
NSPI--National Society for Performance and Instruction
PCS--IEEE Professional Communication Society
ACM/SIGDOC--Association of Computer Manufacturer's
Special Interest Group for Documentation
NUCHI--Northern Utah Computer Human Interaction
(Usability Group)
STC--Intermountain Chapter of the Society for Technical

Each group will provide a 15-20 minutes presentation on
what their organization does, who belongs, and how their
services benefit technical communicators. Round tables will
be set up for each group to display brochures, awards,
publications, membership information, and so forth.

Following the presentations, networking and socializing will
wind up the evening.

Please park in the visitors area north of the student union
building, and plan to exit by 9:00 p.m. A parking fee is
assessed after that time.

Hope you'll plan to join us!
