Hello:

I'm writing an end-user reference doc for an AS/400 application. In an effort to
make the doc easier to use, I'd like to employ numbered headers. My initial plan
was to use numbers that referred to the menu and option number(s). However, the
option numbers are not consecutive (e.g., 2=Change / 4=Delete / 5=Display /
12=Reactivate). I'd like to know your opinion as to whether the absence of
numbers in the sequence poses a potential for confusion? If so, what do suggest?
BTW: Asking the programmers to change the screens is not an option.

I appreciate any and all input.

Have a great weekend everybody (sunny and warm in Mid-MO!!) :-D)
