Long Web page or short multiple pages? (was Re: Students & Web pages)

Another delayed response to posts due to lack of time and work:

I think the length of a web page depends on the kinds of information you =
are trying to display. I've been working on webpages the last four =
months at The University of Arkansas at Little Rock's Office of Research =
and Sponsored Programs (http://www.ualr.edu/~orsp/). The length of the =
page definitely depends on the kinds of information I am conveying to my =
audience.=20
Several pages are short and to the point because they don't as much =
information as the other pages in the web.

When I started putting the Grant Writer's Newsletter on-line, I found =
that I could not maintain the idea of a couple of screenfuls of =
information as I placed the grant opportunities into the various =
catagories we chose to guide our readers. If I had made the information =
brief enough to fit into the screens, the researchers would not have =
enough information to see the grant opportunity is something that they =
want write a proposal for.=20
