I had the same problem with the French Word 2.0 dictionary, which won't run
under Word 6.0. I finally found buried deep in the recesses of Microsoft
documentation that you need to buy a whole new Word 6.0 dictionary. If I
remember correctly, it costs about $60 U.S.
