If you use Frame, this sounds like a perfect scenario for conditional text. We use it for the same type of thing in training manuals and it does an exceptional job. One file contains all the info for different platforms and operating systems....just turn off (hide) the parts you don't want to show for a specific product.

By the way, Pam....we use CMS for document control and really think it's great!!
