Try "The Art of Indexing" by Larry S. Bonura, which is published by
John Wiley & Sons, Inc. SOLUTIONS of Reading, MA also provides a good
one-day seminar on indexing. My advice--hire a professional indexer.

I've been writing hardware and software documentation since 1978, but
never once have I had to create an index. I have a feeling, however,
that my luck is about to change.

Does anybody know Lori Lathrop's email address or a good book on the
subject?
