Subject: New list - TechComm

I'm writing this to announce that a new Internet list has been set up.

The new list is called TechComm, and it has been started up with the
intention of complementing TechWr-L, by discussing some of the issues which
we do not have time for on this list. It is not an alternative to TechWr-L
- all of TechComm's members are also members of TechWr-L.

TechComm allows the discussion of any topics which are of interest to
technical authors, editors, illustrators etc. There are no set rules for
what may or may not be discussed - the list's content is regulated by its
members.

Anyway, send me a message if you are interested and I'll send you the
list-server address. If loads of people are interested, I'll post the
address to this list.

Cheers.

TechComm allows the discussion of any topics which are of interest to
technical authors, editors, illustrators etc. There are no set rules for
what may or may not be discussed - the content of the TechComm list is
regulated by its members. Having said that, we do strongly discourage
'spamming', i.e. commecial messages, 'get rich quick' schemes etc.
