Attention Help authors, tool developers, and hypertext mavens:

From now until Feb. 5, 1997, Weisner Associates Inc. is accepting
submissions of tools, utilities, authoring samples, tips & tricks and other
resources useful to Windows Help authors for the next release of the Help
Author's Resource Kit(tm).

The premier CD-based resource for Windows Help developers currently needs
- updated free, shareware, and commercial grade utilities and development
- new tools for HTML Help and RTF-based Windows Help
- documentation design tools and management utilities
- demos of unusual or creative applications of WinHelp/NetHelp/HTML Help
- Help extensions and authoring aids
- guides and tipsheets
- graphics collections and utilities
- creative applications of the WinHelp, HTML Help, and Nethelp interfaces
- content-rich hypertext format reviews of Help authoring books, manuals
and style guides
- samples of HTML Help and NetHelp implementations
- Winhelp-based resumes
- anything else which you feel would be of interest to the Help authoring

The Help Author's Resource Kit is a CD-based guide to All Things Help. The
first release contained over 400Mb of material ranging from demos of all
the major authoring tools to fully-functional shareware and freeware
extensions and utilities, and a wide range of samples of Help authoring
styles and innovative Winhelp applications. It also included hundreds of
dollars of free software and discounts on many of the top tools and
services in the industry.

The freeware front end for HARK #1, available for download from either
http:// www.primenet.com/~wai or http://www.shareware.com (use partial
filename HARKDEMO for a large list of available download locations)
describes every item on the CD in detail and acts as a definitive desktop
resource directory for Help authors.

If your product, demo or work sample is chosen as a featured item, you'll
receive a free copy of the CD (a $99.00 value) and the prestige of being
selected as one of the best in your field.

Even if you don't make the Top Ten list in your area, your work will be
included in The Archive, an extensive and diverse collection of quality
Windows Help resources. You'll also have your product described, linked
(if you have a Web site) and contact information included in HARK's front
end and directory, which will be free for download and distribution.

Freelancers, contractors and other service providers may submit resumes,
C.V., or service bureau catalogs for inclusion on the CD.

One of HARK's most successful features is its discount coupon promotion.
Each edition provides discounts and coupons worth a total of several
hundred dollars off of some of the top services and products in the
industry. Weisner Associates is also looking for marketing partners seeking
wider exposure for their products. Please contact us for more information.

You may submit software for inclusion in one of two ways. You can either
email us a copy of your software as an attachment to your email message
(both MIME and uuencoded file types are acceptable) or provide us with an
Internet link or CompuServe forum library where it can be downloaded.

Acknowledgement will be sent only if your software is accepted for
inclusion on the next edition of the HARK. An email message of
acknowledgement will be accompanied by the full text of your HARK listing
for proofreading.

Note that you may *suggest* software created by others, but please do not
submit others' work without permission unless you are a distributor or
otherwise have obtained permission to do so.
