Virginia,

We, too, are pod people. In fact, until a couple of months ago we were in
cubes the same size as yours. Now that we've added more and more people to
the corporate office, our cubes have shrunk a little, to 8 x 6 foot dimensions.

Our office is rather quiet: there IS the constant rumble of the heat/air
system--which sounds a lot like the background rumble of the engines on
ST:TNG--the occasional phone, and almost always some music playing (what do
you expect from the corporate offices of a CD music and home electronics
retailer).

Lighting is 100% artificial, from the glare of fluorescent bulbs to the soft
glow of computer monitors. From October to March it's not so bad,
really--all the windows are covered by snowdrifts anyway...

And that's the way it is for the trainer/writers out in the Minnesota prarie...
