I'm the job exchange manager for the Wisconsin chapter and I'm curious
about the experiences of other job exchange managers and people who have
used the STC job exchange.

JOB EXCHANGE MANAGERS--
How does your job exchange work? Do you post jobs on your web site, send a
newsletter, send listings via email, hold job fairs, etc.?

What works well and what problems have you run in to? (for example, your
web site is easy to maintain but not everyone is connected to the Net)

Do you "advertise" jobs from calls you get, or include jobs listed in your
local newspaper?

How do you get information about jobs? (direct mailings, word-of-mouth,
cold-calls)

How many people work with you? Do you have a committee?

Does demand often exceed supply (either too many jobs or too many writers)?

PEOPLE WHO'VE USED THE JOB EXCHANGE--
When you used the job exchange, did you find a job through it or on your
own?

What is good about the job exchange(s) you used?

Do you have any suggestions or ideas on how to make the job exchange
program better?

If you're an STC member, does your chapter have a job exchange?

Please respond to me privately. I will provide a summary to the list.
