Hail from Europe,

what is to be understood by

1. "cv"
1a. cv (without quotes)
2. autobiography (implicitly in quotes)
3. RESUME???

I'd appreciate authoritative and CONCISE definitions
within north-american and european context too.

Rgds,

There's also the "cv" version of a resume, which is
effectively the table of contents to your autobiography...
everything goes here, including the titles of every article
you've ever written. These are mostly used in academe,
where it's important to know your research track record. I
imagine you'd only provide this "on request" to most
personnel departments, but they make interesting starting
points for creating the smaller resumes.
