Patricia,

My list has ¿ as the code and ¿ as the entity reference
for the inverted question mark. They both seem to work for Netscape
on Win '95.

Does anyone out there know how to code the initial upside-down question mark
used in Spanish language questions?

If you do, mucho gracias.
