If someone
posts something that's "wrong", do NOT immediately
post a correction. Read the rest of the mail from the
list, wait a couple of hours, then, if no other posts
with essentially the same content have appeared,
THEN post your correction.

I read this, and the first thought that came into my head is that it can
only work if someone on the list doesn't follow this suggestion. Think
about it: if everyone follows that suggestion, all it succeeds in doing is
postponing the batch of correcting messages by a couple of hours. ;{>}

OK, so who gets to choose the person who fires first?
