I'm not ready to endorse wholeheartedly any one of the other
three options that Wayne J. Douglass put forth, but I can see
the difference between the simple "remove" ("Remove your feet
from my desk") and "uninstall" ("InstallShield comes with a
utility that will uninstall all elements of a program from
your hard drive"). To me, the word "uninstall" implies that a
program is doing more than just removing, it is reversing the
sometimes pernicious process of proliferating program elements
on one's computer. (So, siss on it, pister <g>.)
