My many thanks to everyone that gave me their opinion on screen
capture programs to capture whole screens or partial dialog boxes,
smaller portions of the screen, etc. I had many requests to post my
findings and I gave the list a few days to respond. And what a
response I got! Thanks again to everyone that gave me ideas and
suggestions. It was a lot easier and faster than surfing the web
looking for screen capture programs.

Three screen programs were suggested the most. I will list them and
give my brief opinion of each. Each of these programs have their own
quirks and good points. The three programs are:

- PaintShop Pro Screen Utility
- HyperSnap DX
- Screen Thief

It is a little confusing to get PaintShop pro's color schemes right
for getting the screen captures colors correct. Other than that, it
was easy to use and the on-line help was actually helpful. I can also
use it during the 30 day shareware period before I buy a licensed
version, which to me, is a plus.

HyperSnap is the cheapest, $25 I think, and to me, the easiest to use.
I did not have to read the on-line help or tutorial. I could do a
screen capture immediately after downloading the program. The only
negative is that you can't save a screen capture without having a the
company's URL on the file. A little hindrance to use during the
"30-day trail" period.

Screen Thief, to me at least, is the most confusing. It was not a
very intuitive program, hence, I did not spend a lot of time delving
into it, I just don't have the time.

Thanks again everyone for your help. If there are any comments or
questions regarding this message, please email my off-line and I will
answer them when time allows. No reason to muck up the list. Thanks
again gang.
